Project Coordinator of The Claremont Illuminated Project
(December 2018- November 2019)

As Project Coordinator of the Claremont Illuminated Project (Planned by the Bronx Documentary Center in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ), I was responsible for the production, development and coordination of 8 community events and outdoor media installations in Claremont Village, a NYCHA public housing development located in the Morrisania section of the South Bronx. The events highlighted the diverse lives and stories of the residents of Claremont Village, and required me to work independently and collaboratively with the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ), Bronx artists, photographers, technicians, NYCHA tenants and community representatives.

Over the course of a year, I supported the Bronx Documentary center with the production of various summer pop-up events within the Claremont neighborhood which included:

• A two day evening photography festival within the 169st and Webster stairwell
• Activation of the NYCHA Butler houses playground into a pop-up art gallery (In collaboration with NSTAT)
• Organized a community march with the Claremont Neighborhood Center and Butler Houses Community Center
• Co-facilitated a free summer photography course at the Butler Houses community center (The students work from the course was featured in a pop-up art display at the I.S. 219 New Venture School)
Community pop-up art gallery at a parking lot located at I.S. 219 New Venture School (In collaboration with the Claremont Neighborhood Centers, & Bringing the Peace)
• Free community photo booths in celebration of Mothers day, Fathers day and Valentines day
